ITAC assessment information

We are in process to connect with our regional ITAC in Alabama, but I wanted to know what the overall process structure of an assessment would look like. Do we need to submit any data to request an assessment?

Great. I am happy to hear that you are connecting with the regional ITAC. An ITAC assessment follows a three-phase structure: pre-assessment (data gathering and scoping), in-person assessment (walk-through and interviews), and post-assessment (analysis, reporting, and follow-up). Usually before the assessment, ITAC will request information such as 12 months of utility bills, high level plant information using a Pre-assessment form. Please let me know if this answered your question. Please let me know of any additional questions.

Thank you for the information, we will start collecting that information so that we can give it to ITACs. Also can you let me know what are typical data that is collected during the in-person assessment?

Typically, data collection may include motor loads, compressed air pressures, thermal process systems operations, lightings, and flow rates. Observational data include workflow, material handling, and process setup times. These are combined with utility bills to create baseline which will allow ITACs to create recommendations.
