Description of the role:

Optimize systems and processes in the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and medium voltage (MV) production operation to improve efficiency, productivity, and operational flow across people, materials, information, equipment, and energy.

  • Analyze production processes and workflows and recommend improvements including automation enhancements

  • Collect and analyze data related to operations, production, and coordination and recommend improvements to system performance via statistical analysis, process simulations, and predictive modeling

  • Design and implement integrated systems that integrate employees, machines, materials, and information to maximize operational efficiency, including system modeling and capacity planning.

  • Develop strategies for efficient allocation of resources such as labor, materials, and equipment to maximize production and reduce costs

  • Lead the implementation of quality control measures to ensure products meet specified standards by establishing benchmarks and monitoring systems

  • Perform cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and financial planning to ensure that production systems are cost-effective and within budget

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in industrial operations, working to create a safe working environment

  • Lead projects related to implementing new systems, tools, automation, and processes

  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and improve overall system performance

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor of science in industrial engineering or related field or equivalent via education and/or work experience

  • 2 years’ related work experience in industrial engineering

  • Proficiency in industrial engineering principles, process design, and optimization techniques

  • Strong data analysis and critical thinking skills, with knowledge of statistical and mathematical modeling

  • Familiarity with engineering software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MATLAB, ERP systems {ORACLE}) and simulation tools. Ability to communicate findings, recommendations, and technical details clearly to cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts

  • Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills

  • Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility

  • Proficiency in MS Office programs

  • Availability for travel, both domestically and internationally, up to 10%, occasionally with short notice
