Description of the role:
We are looking for undergraduate students in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or closely related field with interest in electric power systems.
Interns can expect to work in the area of electric power systems focused on technical contributions and hands on work in these areas:

Power systems

Grid resilience
-
Data analytics
-
Controls
-
Power system simulation and modeling
-
Energy storage systems
-
Power system planning & operations
-
Smart grid operations
-
Natural hazard / threat modeling
-
Geospatial science
-
Wildfire science
-
Laboratory hardware in the loop simulation
On any given day, you may be called on to:

Work with a mentor and a team of researchers for a specific project and task

Perform valuable input to solve complex problems
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
Minimum qualifications:
You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

Currently attending and enrolled full time in a related accredited undergraduate program

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0

Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer

U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents, asylees or refugees in the U.S.
